Horse Riding

Pony Camp

We run non-residential pony camps, Tuesday to Friday during all school holidays, and whenever the children are off school, for example, Inset Days/ Polling Days/ Snow Days or Teacher's strikes.

These pony camps are suitable for children aged 7-14, of any ability. We offer pony days & pony weeks for beginner and intermediate riders, and 'Own a Pony' Days/ Weeks for advanced riders wishing to experience what it is like to own their own ponies.  Younger children (5-6 yrs) may do half a pony day.

Pony Days/ Weeks

Pony Days include 2 hours of riding lessons, and 2 hours of practical horse care lectures under the constant supervision of qualified and experienced instructors. Those children attending for the week will cover different aspects of horse care each day, and depending on ability may progress in their riding to hack and/ or jump.

These pony days/ weeks are an excellent way to develop riding skills and progress, are great for building confidence on and around the ponies, and a fantastic way to make lots of 'like-minded' friends.

Pony Days run from 9.45am -3.45pm each day and cost £70 per day or £245 for the week (4 days)

Own a Pony Days/ Weeks

Ideal for the more advanced, older children (12yrs+), the 'Own a Pony' days/ weeks give the children the opportunity to discover what it would be like to own their own ponies.

A longer day, starting at 9am & finishing at 4pm, the children will get involved with all aspects of pony care, including mucking out, grooming, feeding, plaiting, bathing, tacking & rugging up, as well as riding for 3 hours each day. Riding may include, flat work, jumping, hacking, gymkhana, or even preparation for a competition at the end of the week.

Like the Pony Days, the children will be fully supervised throughout the day by our qualified and experienced staff.

Cost: £80 per day or £285 for the week (4 days)
