Trent Park Equestrian Centre has been awarded the status of an "EXAM CENTRE OF EXCELLENCE" by the British Horse Society as well as being a mainstream provider for the NVQ/ Modern Apprentice qualification. Our ability to deliver current, high quality professional training is therefore recognised by the government and the governing bodies of the equine industry To provide and support this training, we have excellent facilities: two indoor schools, an outdoor ménage, a sand lunge arena, a cross country course and over 90 horses suitable for all levels of rider. In addition, we have a well-equipped lecture room with all modern teaching aids and PC's for IT training. All training is delivered by qualified tutors.
To support the training, you will receive accommodation ,if required, and a training allowance which starts at £50 per week , increasing to £70 per week on attainment of the BHS Stage III qualification. In addition to this allowance, once you have attained BHS Stage I, you will receive a bonus for the lessons you teach. In some circumstances, we are also able to allow you to bring your own horse, although this is dependent on the availability of stables. We advise all pupils to combine the Modern Apprentice/NVQ qualification with their BHS qualification. The courses run in tandem and require little additional effort. The exams are on site, as are the BHS exams, which brings many advantages to the in-house student. As an added incentive T.P.E.C. is happy to pay your registration fee as the NVQ is becoming increasingly recognised as a measure of competence within our industry and we feel our students should not miss the opportunity to attain this qualification. No specific academic qualifications are required. Applicants are asked to undertake a simple assessment to enable us to identify specific learning needs or other requirements.
